The White House: The current Palestinian Authority is not qualified to administer Gaza

Jerusalem – Together – John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications for the National Security Council at the White House, said that the current Palestinian Authority does not have the credibility to manage the Gaza Strip.

Kirby added during an interview with ABC: “We do not believe that the current Palestinian Authority is in a position to be a credible leader in Gaza.”

Kirby stressed that the United States is still committed to the idea of a “two states for two peoples” solution, but with “reforming the Palestinian leadership so that it meets the interests of the Palestinians.”
