Jerusalem: Israeli forces stormed, on Wednesday evening, the East Jerusalem town of Silwan, according to the Jerusalem Governorate. The Governorate reported that this incursion targeted the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood, marking a continuation of repeated raids that have become almost daily occurrences, particularly in the evening hours.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate stated that during the raid, Israeli forces entered several homes, assaulted and beat several residents, and deployed sound bombs and tear gas canisters within the neighborhood. This operation resulted in extensive damage to the contents of the homes, and one young man was detained.
The Governorate highlighted that the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood is experiencing a continuous and systematic escalation. These actions are described as part of broader policies of harassment and forced displacement targeting the neighborhood and its Jerusalemite residents. In a related development, Israeli forces reportedly assaulted young men in the area.
