Palestinian Man Injured in Burqa Following Colonist Attack

Nablus:A Palestinian man sustained injuries on Friday following an attack by colonists in the town of Burqa, located northwest of Nablus. Local sources reported that Israeli colonists entered the town and physically assaulted the 36-year-old man.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) provided medical treatment to the injured man, who suffered injuries after being beaten and falling from a height.

In a related incident, colonists also intercepted and attempted to assault a family in the al-Mas'udiya area, northwest of Nablus. Additionally, they attacked a house in the village of Yasid, north of Nablus, trying to break its door and stole a cart from a nearby parked vehicle.

Such incidents of violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property have become routine in the West Bank. These acts, which include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, and the uprooting of crops, are seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
