Israeli Forces Detain Four Palestinians in Tulkarm Governorate Raids

Tulkarm:Israeli occupation forces detained four Palestinians from the towns of Kafr Sur and Kafr Abbush, located south of Tulkarm, during a dawn operation on Friday, as reported by local sources.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, three individuals, including a former prisoner, were apprehended in Kafr Abbush, while another was taken into custody in Kafr Sur. These detentions were part of a broader series of raids conducted by Israeli forces.

The occupation forces also entered Joseph's Tomb and a residence in the eastern part of Nablus, as well as carried out a raid in the village of Burin, south of Nablus, where several homes were ransacked. In the Bethlehem governorate, army vehicles stormed the towns of Tuqu' and Za'tara, breaking into two homes. Similar raids occurred in the villages of Rafeida and Beit Ta'mar, east of Bethlehem, although no homes were entered or individuals detained there.

These raids are a frequent occurrence across the West Bank, with Israeli forces conducting operations ostensibly to search for 'wanted' Palestinians. The operations often result in clashes with local residents and are executed without search warrants, reflecting the sweeping and arbitrary powers granted to the military under Israeli law. This law grants army commanders comprehensive authority over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank, without Palestinian input on the exercise of this authority.
