Gaza - Together - The occupation warplanes and artillery continue the violent bombardment of the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded, in light of warnings of a real humanitarian catastrophe due to the absence of basic services.
The official agency said that dozens of martyrs' bodies were dumped in the compound's courtyard and its surroundings, and ambulance crews were unable to reach them to evacuate them, due to the intensity of the fire and direct targeting by the occupation vehicles.
She pointed out that the artillery shelling targeted the hospital's intensive care unit, which led to the death of a citizen and the injury of a number of others, in addition to the death of three citizens who were connected to artificial respirators inside the targeted section.
The agency's correspondent, who was trapped in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, indicated that a number of citizens were injured as a result of the bombing that targeted the last floor of the Al-Quds building inside the complex.
He also pointed out that the occupation tanks were stationed 200 meters from the northern and southern sides of the Al-Shifa complex, stressing that since nine o’clock yesterday evening, Friday, no ambulance had arrived at the complex, due to the intensity of the fire.
He noted that medical teams in the Shifa Complex cannot move from one building to another within the complex, including evacuating the martyrs and wounded in its vicinity, given that the occupation tanks penetrating west of Gaza City and the drones are targeting every moving object in the area.
The occupation has besieged the Al-Shifa Medical Complex since dawn today, bombing most of the buildings adjacent to it and a number of buildings inside it, while thousands of wounded and displaced people are present inside it, without electricity, food, water, or fuel, while dozens of bodies are piled up in its courtyards, because citizens cannot Who buried her?
According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, there is difficulty evacuating the Shifa Medical Complex, because there are more than 60 patients in intensive care, more than 40 infants in the premature and incubation departments, and more than 500 patients in the dialysis departments.
In this context, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that occupation tanks are currently stationed 20 meters from its Al-Quds Hospital, located in Gaza City.
The association reported in a press statement that the occupation was firing directly at the hospital, which created a state of panic among the displaced people who took refuge in the hospital.
Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 198 health personnel and 36 civil defense personnel have been martyred, and more than 130 have been injured, while 60 ambulances have been damaged, including 53 that were completely out of work, and 51 out of 72 primary health care centers have been damaged due to the resulting damage. Due to the bombing or lack of fuel, 24 hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip were asked to evacuate (the total capacity of these hospitals is 2,000 beds).
55% of health sector partners also suspended their operations due to major damage to infrastructure, while the ongoing aggression led to the displacement of most health personnel, forcing hospitals to operate with less than a third of the necessary capacity to treat the large number of wounded.
Hospitals are still suffering from severe fuel shortages, leading to strict rationing and limited use of electricity generators for essential functions only. The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October has resulted in more than 11,078 martyrs, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women, in addition to the injury of 27,490 citizens, the majority of whom are women and children, an infinite toll.
