Jenin: The European Union Representative to Palestine, Alexandre Stutzmann, announced the launch of a new EU program aimed at assisting victims of colonist attacks in the West Bank and enhancing their protection. The initiative seeks to provide proactive protection through volunteer groups deployed on the ground, alongside establishing a comprehensive system to improve the safety and security of affected Palestinian communities. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Stutzmann explained that the European Union views colonist attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank as a "wake-up call." He acknowledged that while the EU was unable to prevent these incidents, it is committed to working to ensure they are not repeated. As part of this commitment, the European Union is considering firm political measures and additional steps, including the rollout of the victim support program. The announcement was made during a field visit organized for the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine. The visit included participation from the EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, and several international ambassadors. As part of the tour, diplomats visited the village of al-Mughayyir to observe the aftermath of recent colonist attacks on the area.
