Escalating Attacks on Olive Farmers in West Bank

al-Mughayyir:Israeli colonists, with the backing of Israeli occupation forces, reportedly stole olive crops from Palestinian land in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. This incident took place on Sunday amidst a surge in attacks on Palestinian farmers and olive harvesters throughout the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources indicated that colonists infiltrated the agricultural land in the village's eastern plain area. They proceeded to steal harvested olives under the protection of Israeli forces.

The village experienced further disturbances on Saturday when colonists attacked again, stealing olive crops and damaging several trees. These actions are part of a broader pattern of assaults reported in recent days.

Since the start of the olive harvest season, Palestinian communities across the West Bank have faced increased attacks from colonists targeting their agricultural efforts. The Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission documented 18 such incidents from Saturday morning across various governorates, including Ramallah and al-Bireh, Nablus, Salfit, Qalqilya, Hebron, Jericho, Jerusalem, and Tulkarm.

These incidents reportedly involved attacks on olive pickers, forcing farmers off their land, physical assaults, use of pepper spray, detention of citizens, and theft of crops, vehicles, and equipment. Additionally, there were assaults on homes, wall demolitions, and damage to trees.
