Colonists Assault Olive Harvesters in Nablus Region

Nablus:Farmers harvesting olives between the towns of Qusra and Jalud, south of Nablus, were attacked by colonists today. The assailants seized equipment used in the olive harvest.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources reported that the farmers were targeted while working on their agricultural lands. This incident is part of a pattern of escalating assaults on Palestinian farmers as the olive harvest season begins. These attacks often involve physical violence, denial of access to land, and theft of crops and equipment.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 19 colonists' attacks in the West Bank on October 9 alone. These included the uprooting of over 50 olive trees in Qusra and assaults on harvesters in multiple Palestinian villages.

Data from the Nablus Governorate indicates that there were 900 colonists' attacks in the first half of 2026. Tree-felling and vandalism during this period affected 6,015 trees in the governorate alone. Across the West Bank, a total of 45,195 trees were damaged, including 26,395 olive trees.
