Vice President Al-Sheikh Engages with Moroccan Ambassador on Political Developments

Gaza: Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein al-Sheikh on Sunday received Moroccan Ambassador to the State of Palestine Abdel Rahim Meziane to discuss the latest political developments and the longstanding fraternal relations between Palestine and the Kingdom of Morocco.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during the meeting, al-Sheikh extended his sincere congratulations to King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan government, and the Moroccan people on the 27th anniversary of the King's accession to the Throne. He expressed his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Morocco.

Al-Sheikh provided a briefing to Ambassador Meziane on the recent political, economic, and social developments in the occupied Palestinian Territory. He highlighted the repercussions of Israel's ongoing actions in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the escalation and violations against the Palestinian people.

The discussions also covered the impact of Israel's continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues, which has severely affected the financial and economic situation. Al-Sheikh emphasized the need for intensified Arab and international efforts to halt the Israeli aggression and to end Israel's unilateral measures. He expressed appreciation for Morocco's consistent support for the Palestinian cause.
