Israeli Forces Target Seven Homes in Nahalin with Demolition Notices

Nahalin: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday issued demolition notices for seven homes in the town of Nahalin, located west of Bethlehem. The targeted area, known as Baqoush, is home to several residents who are now facing the potential loss of their properties.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Nahalin Mayor Naeem Fanoun reported that Israeli forces entered the town and verbally informed residents about the demolition orders. The homes affected by these orders include those of Ahmad Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz Shakarneh, whose two-story building spans 180 square meters, and Mohammad Ismail Salman Fanoun, with a two-story building covering 160 square meters. Additionally, the four-story residence of Mohammad Hassan Abdel Hafiz Shakarneh, also 160 square meters in size, has been targeted.

The demolition notices extend to other properties in the area, including the two-story home of Mohammad Ibrahim Shakarneh, a one-story building belonging to Mohammad Mahmoud Mustafa, and Issa Mahmoud Issa Mustafa's one-story building measuring 160 square meters. Ahmad Khaled Mohammad Najajreh's home, with an area of 150 square meters, is also at risk.

Fanoun further revealed that just three days prior, Israeli forces had issued demolition notices for a commercial facility spread over two dunums of land. In addition, the forces targeted the two-story homes of Mohammad Youssef Mahmoud Awad and Ahmad Mohammad Ishaq Najajreh, each encompassing 160 square meters.
