Surif: Terrorist Israeli colonists on Saturday set fire to a vehicle and sprayed racist slogans on the walls of a house in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, according to a local official.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Mayor of Surif Hazem Ghneimat reported that colonists from the Bat Ayin colony, which is illegally constructed on Palestinian lands northwest of Hebron, infiltrated the Deir al-Nil area. During their incursion, they attacked residents' homes, set a vehicle belonging to a local resident on fire, damaged another vehicle, attempted to ignite a house, and defaced the walls of another house with racist slogans.
The Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission disclosed that Israeli occupation forces and colonists executed 11,074 attacks during the first half of 2026. These attacks encompassed a wide array of aggressive acts, including land and property seizures, colonial expansions, forced displacements, field executions, vandalism, land leveling, tree uprooting, and the establishment of closures and checkpoints that disrupt Palestinian territorial continuity.
The commission's data highlighted that the Hebron governorate experienced the highest number of attacks, with 2,224 incidents. This was followed by Ramallah and al-Bireh with 2,175 attacks, Nablus with 2,095, and Bethlehem with 1,137 attacks during the same timeframe.
