Jerusalem – Ma’an – Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said that the State of Qatar hopes that the armistice agreement will lead to a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

For his part, the White House said that US President Joe Biden welcomed Qatar’s announcement to extend the truce in Gaza for an additional two days.

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby also confirmed that on the fourth day of the temporary truce in Gaza, the truce was extended for two additional days.

In this context, the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) said, “We do not see that the war in Gaza has turned into a regional conflict, although the tension is acute.”
