Qalandiya: A young Palestinian man, Ayman Rafiq Muhammad al-Hashlamoun, aged 30, was killed by Israeli forces during a raid on the Qalandiya refugee camp, located north of Jerusalem. The incident was confirmed by the Ministry of Health, which reported that al-Hashlamoun was shot in the head during the operation conducted by Israeli occupation forces.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Ministry of Health revealed that it received information about al-Hashlamoun's death from the General Authority for Civil Affairs. The raid on the Qalandiya camp saw Israeli forces storming the vocational training institute opposite the camp. They used tear gas, stun grenades, and live ammunition, which led to the critical injury and subsequent death of al-Hashlamoun.
The Jerusalem Governorate noted that Palestinian ambulance crews were barred from accessing al-Hashlamoun immediately after he was shot, which led to delays in providing medical assistance. Additionally, during the raid, Israeli forces reportedly used live ammunition against journalists present at the scene and detained several young men from the camp.
The raid also resulted in the closure of the main road adjacent to the Qalandiya refugee camp in both directions, disrupting the passage of vehicles. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams treated a 15-year-old boy who suffered injuries from a rubber-coated bullet inside the camp.
