Tulkarm: Israeli occupation forces on Monday night fired tear gas canisters at residents of Tulkarm refugee camp as they attempted to enter the camp and reach their homes, following reports of the withdrawal of occupation forces from some areas inside the camp.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident came after the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Barqawi building near the camp, which had been turned into a military barracks for several months. This prompted owners and several citizens to head to the site to inspect it and assess the extent of destruction and damage there.
The Head of the Popular Committee for Services in Tulkarm refugee camp, Faisal Salameh, stated in a press release that the rumors about the withdrawal of the occupation army from the camp are untrue, urging citizens to avoid being misled by false information to ensure their safety.
Israeli forces have continued their ongoing aggression on Tulkarm city and its two refugee camps, Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, for the 470th consecutive day. This aggression has led to a tight siege and widespread destruction affecting infrastructure and citizens' property, alongside the forced displacement of thousands of residents.
