Occupation Forces Continue House-to-House Raids in Al-Far’a Camp

Al-Far’a: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday continued to carry out house-to-house raids in Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of the northern occupied West Bank city of Tubas, according to local sources. They reported that the occupying forces carried out large-scale raids, breaking into many houses, ransacking their contents, and causing extensive destruction.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the occupation forces have severely beaten several young men and continued to forcibly displace more families from their houses, which have been turned into sniper outposts. The occupation forces have maintained a massive onslaught on Tammun town and al-Faraa refugee camp for the fourth consecutive day, enforcing a tight siege and causing a shortage of water, a lack of essential supplies such as infant formula, diapers, and medicine.

The forces have deliberately ploughed through infrastructure, destroying main water pipelines, leading to a water shortage and causing a power outage in parts of the town and the camp. The onslaught comes amidst continued large-scale aggressions on Jenin city and camp as well as on the city and the refugee camp of Tulkarm.

This escalation follows the occupation forces’ tightening of military measures across the occupied West Bank, mere hours after the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire went into effect. These measures have involved the dismemberment and isolation of cities and governorates using military gates, barriers, and concrete blocks.

The Israeli military actions are occurring in tandem with ongoing attacks by Israeli colonists across the West Bank, aimed at terrorizing Palestinians and displacing them from their lands to seize them for the construction of illegal Jewish colonies. These closures and other measures, purportedly taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 58-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project, enforced with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.
