Israel Strikes Iranian Missile and Naval Mine Production Sites

Jerusalem: The Israeli army announced that it struck sites in Iran responsible for the production of missiles and naval mines, as reported by Yedioth Ahronoth daily. The attack, carried out by the Israeli Air Force, targeted Iran's primary facility for missile and naval mine production situated in the central city of Yazd, according to an Israeli army spokesperson.

According to Anadolu Agency, the targeted facility was involved in the planning, development, assembly, and storage of advanced missiles. These missiles were designed to be launched from naval vessels, submarines, and helicopters against both moving and stationary maritime targets. The incident has heightened tensions in the region, which have been on high alert following a joint offensive by the US and Israel against Iran that began on February 28. This offensive has resulted in over 1,340 casualties, including the death of then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting not only Israel but also Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. These retaliatory actions have led to further casualties and infrastructure damage, while also causing disruptions in global markets and aviation.
