EU Says Israel’s Order to Cut Off Electricity Supply to Gaza Increases Human Suffering

Brussels: The European Union (EU) said Tuesday that Israel’s order to cut off the electricity supply to the Gaza Strip will increase human suffering.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Hadja Lahbib, EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, expressed concerns over the situation on her X account. She highlighted that Israel’s decision to halt all electricity supply to Gaza, following a week after cutting aid supplies, will exacerbate the already dire humanitarian crisis in the region.

Lahbib emphasized the urgency of establishing a lasting ceasefire to protect civilian lives, underscoring the critical need for immediate action to alleviate the escalating crisis.
