Colonists Cut Down Dozens of Fruit Trees in Jenin-area Village

Gaza: Israeli colonists cut down dozens of guava and avocado trees overnight on Palestinian-owned land in the village of Khirbet Farasin, located west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. The sources indicated that the land belongs to Palestinian farmer Raed Ahmad Amarnah, and some of the trees were around 10 years old. The colonists targeted the trees under cover of darkness, continuing a pattern of attacks on the area's agricultural land. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this latest attack follows a series of incidents where colonists have cut down hundreds of trees in the region during the previous agricultural season. Local sources highlighted that these attacks often occur shortly before the harvest season, intentionally depriving Palestinian landowners of their crops and income derived from agriculture. The village of Khirbet Farasin has repeatedly been targeted by colonists from the nearby Israeli settlement of Hermesh. These attacks have not only focused on agricultural land and trees but have also disrupted the livelihoods of local farmers, reflecting a broader trend of escalations against Palestinian property and economic stability in the area.
