Bethlehem - Ma'an - The "Al-Yassin-105" armor-piercing shell, and the "Guerilla Action" device during the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, gained wide fame after the destruction of about 24 Israeli military vehicles, including the "Merkava" tank, which is described as "the pride of Israeli industry." And the “Panther” or “Tiger” armored vehicle, which is a fully armored vehicle, transports Israeli infantry soldiers to the battlefield.
Over the past weeks, and since the start of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, “Al-Yassin-105” and “Guerilla Action” have become the talk of social media, regarding the targeting of Israeli vehicles in “Beit Hanoun,” “Hajar al-Deek,” and “Al-Zaytoun Neighborhood.” And “Salah al-Din Street,” in addition to “Beit Lahia” and “Erez Crossing.”
Russian military expert Leonid Ivashov told Sky News that the occupation army opened an investigation into how the "Al-Yassin" shells penetrated the Israeli "Tiger" armored vehicle, which is considered the most fortified, and after the destruction of the "Merkava" tank, which Israel boasts is the most powerful. Where the structure and armor are among the tanks globally.
Ivashov added: The "Al-Yassin" missile consists of two explosive charges, the first of which penetrates the armored armor, and the other of which penetrates the body of the armored vehicle or tank. It is fired from the shoulder and is easy to handle in urban warfare. It belongs to the RPG-7 family, which is similar to it, and its technologies are used in many rockets, especially Russian ones.
"Al-Yassin" was manufactured locally and is a missile with tandem warheads to increase its ability to destroy armored vehicles, even those with reactive armor.
According to the Russian "Rosoboronexport" website, the tandem warhead represents the most important secret of the power of the "Al-Yassin" missiles, because it consists of two successive shells, the first of which explodes the tank's reactive armor and partially or completely penetrates the steel armor, while the other shell completes the process of penetration into the hull. The tank causes an internal explosion that leads to the complete destruction of the tank. The maximum range of its launcher is 250 metres, the effective range is 150 metres, and it penetrates approximately 21 cm of solid iron.
Hamas resisters also confronted Israeli tanks with “command action” bombs, which military reports described as the “icon” of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. They are homemade bombs that are attached to the most vulnerable places on Israeli military vehicles, and require a great sacrifice from Hamas fighters, such as getting close to Zero distance.
