Bethlehem:Israeli forces have continued to enforce road and entrance closures throughout the Bethlehem Governorate for the fourth consecutive day, significantly hindering the movement of Palestinian residents between towns, villages, and the city center.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the closures affect several key areas, including the entrances to Qasr Nassar and al-Sidr, the road linking the villages of al-Jab'a and Nahalin to the west, and the main entrance to the village of Wadi Fukin. Additionally, the entrances to the villages of Marah Rabah, Umm Salmuna, and Jurat ash-Sham'a to the south, as well as the entrances to the town of Tuqu' in the southeast, are also blocked.
The southern entrance to the village of al-Manshiya was briefly opened but has since been reclosed by occupation forces. These actions are compelling residents to use alternative routes, often consisting of unpaved and difficult terrain, which complicates their ability to reach workplaces and fulfill daily needs.
On Saturday, further measures were taken by Israeli forces, who placed illegal vehicles at the entrances to dirt roads leading to Tuqu' to obstruct them. They also used tear gas canisters and sound bombs against residents' vehicles traveling on rugged roads near the town.
