Colonists Launch 482 Attacks on Olive Harvest in West Bank

Ramallah:The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission has reported a total of 482 attacks on olive harvests conducted by colonists across nine different governorates in the West Bank since the beginning of the season.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, these attacks have been widespread, affecting areas from the northern to the southern regions of the West Bank. There is a significant concentration of incidents in governorates where farmers and olive groves have been frequently targeted.

The commission further stated that these attacks are occurring alongside restrictive measures imposed by the Israeli military. These measures have severely restricted farmers' access to their lands, complicating the harvesting process.

Additionally, the commission highlighted that the disruption of the olive harvest is a common tactic used to undermine Palestinian agricultural efforts and their presence on the land, especially in areas near colonies and colonial outposts. These actions are perceived as part of a coordinated effort by the Israeli occupation to weaken a crucial aspect of Palestinian resilience and their ability to maintain a foothold on their ancestral lands.
