Colonists Attack Olive Harvesters and Steal Equipment Near Qusra

Qusra:Colonists attacked farmers today while they were harvesting olives in the area between the towns of Qusra and Jalud, south of Nablus, and stole equipment used for the harvest.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources reported that a group of colonists assaulted the farmers as they worked on their agricultural lands, seizing the equipment they were using for the olive harvest season.

This incident occurs amid increasing assaults by colonists on Palestinian farmers at the start of the olive harvest season. These attacks involve physical violence, denial of access to agricultural land, theft of crops and equipment, and the vandalism of trees.

On October 9, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 19 attacks by colonists in the West Bank since the morning of that day. These attacks targeted olive harvesters, farmers, and their property, and included the uprooting of over 50 olive trees in the town of Qusra and assaults on harvesters in several Palestinian villages.

Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission also shows that the Nablus Governorate recorded 900 attacks by colonists during the first half of 2026. Additionally, tree-felling and vandalism affected 6,015 trees in the governorate during the same period, contributing to a total of 45,195 trees damaged across the West Bank, including 26,395 olive trees.
