Tulkarm: A young Palestinian man from Jenin was killed by Israeli forces' gunfire at the Anab checkpoint east of Tulkarm. The Civil Affairs Authority and the Ministry of Health reported that Abdel Rahman Hamza Abdel Rahman Abu Al-Rub, 31, from the town of Jalbun in Jenin governorate, was killed on Monday morning at the site.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces opened fire at a vehicle passing through the Anab military checkpoint. Local sources reported that one person was injured at the scene, while the Palestine Red Crescent Society added that its teams were prevented by Israeli forces from reaching the injured after receiving a report of gunfire near the checkpoint.
The incident led to the closure of the gate at the checkpoint by Israeli forces, forcing vehicles to turn back in both directions. With the killing of Abu Al-Rub, the number of Palestinians killed in Jenin Governorate since January 21, 2025, has risen to 64.
