Gaza: The World Health Organization (WHO) has successfully evacuated 11 children from Gaza to Jordan to receive critical cancer treatment. Accompanying the children were 20 companions, ensuring that the young patients have support during their medical journey.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, emphasized the urgent need for medical evacuations for thousands of patients across Gaza who require life-saving care. In a post on X, Ghebreyesus highlighted the necessity of utilizing all available corridors to ensure the safe transfer of patients out of the Gaza Strip.
Ghebreyesus further stated that peace remains the ultimate solution for the ongoing challenges faced by the region, underscoring the importance of addressing the root causes of health crises in conflict zones.
