Ramallah: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has issued a stern warning regarding the perilous ramifications of recent decisions by the occupation government, which it claims are encouraging colonist militias to intensify their assaults on Palestinian citizens, their lands, and properties.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Ministry highlighted in a statement that these concerns have been exacerbated by the recent action of the new Minister of the Occupation Army, who has annulled the administrative detention of a colonist accused of perpetrating violations and attacks against Palestinian residents. Notably, these attacks have recently occurred in areas such as Hawara and Beit Furik, near Nablus.
The Ministry has expressed its view that the current sanctions imposed by several countries on extremist colonists are inadequate, as they have failed to prevent or discourage such individuals from continuing their terrorist activities in the occupied West Bank, including Ea
st Jerusalem.
Furthermore, the Ministry has called for the imposition of more effective sanctions against the entire colonial settlement infrastructure. It is actively engaging with relevant international bodies and various countries to push for the enforcement of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2334 and other pertinent UN resolutions in response to the ongoing violations by colonists.
