West Bank: 2,040 arrests since October 7

Bethlehem - Ma'an - The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported on Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 55 Palestinians in the West Bank at dawn on Saturday, bringing the total number of detainees to 2,040 since October 7.

The Prisoners' Club explained in a statement that the occupation forces arrested at least 55 citizens, including two women, between Friday night and Saturday dawn, from cities and towns in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem.

He stated that among the detainees were 25 citizens from Al-Fawar Camp in Hebron Governorate, and pointed out that the number of detainees in the West Bank “rose to more than 2,040 Palestinians since last October 7” and that “the arrests were accompanied by systematic acts of abuse against the detainees and their families.”
