Hussein al-sheikh: on Friday condemned a decision by Israeli Army Minister Israel Katz to transfer law-enforcement powers in Israeli colonies built on occupied Palestinian land to the Israeli police.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Al-Sheikh stated that the move is a violation of international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and signed agreements. He described it as an attempt to impose Israeli law and sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and to entrench the annexation of Palestinian territory.
Al-Sheikh emphasized that colonization is illegal and asserted that Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the territory of the State of Palestine occupied in 1967. He urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to halt these Israeli measures and compel Israel to comply with international law and resolutions.
