The US Deputy Representative to the Security Council said that the return of polio to Gaza represents a major threat to civilians and children in Gaza.

“The polio vaccination campaign in Gaza must be implemented without any delay,” she added.

“The implementation of vaccination campaigns in Gaza must be ensured, and military operations and evacuation orders must be halted,” he said.

“We appreciate the work of the health teams in the Gaza Strip and stress the need to protect them,” he said.

“The reports of targeting UN workers are extremely disturbing,” he said
