UPDATE: Palestinian man shot, killed by Israeli forces’ fire east of Nablus

NABLUS: A Palestinian man was killed and five others, including three paramedics, were injured by Israeli occupation forces in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.

The Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of young man Diaa Hani Abdul Rahman Duweikat, 25, after he was seriously injured in the thigh and abdomen and another was critically injured during the storming of Balata camp.

Red Crescent spokesman Ahmed Jibril said that he received a report of injuries inside a house in the Hashashin neighborhood, and that the occupation forces prevented ambulance crews from reaching the site.

He pointed out that three paramedics from the Red Crescent crews were injured by live bullets after being deliberately targeted by occupation soldiers despite prior coordination through the International Committee of the Red Cross while trying to evacuate a number of injuries in Balata camp, in addition to two young men being injured by live bullets.

The occupation forces withheld an ambulance and Red Crescent crews while
they were trying to provide treatment to the injured person at Bab Al-Saha area inside the town.

The sources added that the occupation forces raided several homes, searched them, tampered with their contents.

The occupation army also stormed the neighborhoods of Rafidia and Al-Makhfiyya, and Al-Ain camp west of the city, and stormed one of the homes in the camp, searched it, and detained a young man.

With the killing of the young man Duweikat, the number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since the beginning of the Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7, has risen to 720 civilians, including 160 children.
