Gaza: The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned on Monday that health centers in the Gaza Strip are being subjected to repeated attacks, and medical and essential supplies are running out under the ongoing Israeli aggression.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, this statement was published by UNRWA on its X platform account, coinciding with World Health Week, which runs from April 7 to 13 each year.
Lazzarini stated that health workers in Gaza are being killed or injured due to the ongoing Israeli attacks. He further expressed that while World Health Day is meant to celebrate health and healing, the current situation in Gaza leads to mourning the loss of both.
