UN Chief Criticizes Israel’s Renewed Military Actions in Gaza


Gaza City: UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres expressed his shock over Israel’s recent resumption of aerial attacks and bombardment in the Gaza Strip after a pause of two months. The renewed military actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 400 Palestinian civilians, including children and women.



According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Guterres issued a statement condemning the renewed aggression and emphasizing the severe humanitarian impact it has had on the Palestinian population. He stressed the importance of respecting the ceasefire and called for the unrestricted resumption of humanitarian aid to the region. Additionally, Guterres urged for the release of the remaining hostages, highlighting the urgent need for diplomatic efforts to address the escalating situation.



The statement from the UN Secretary-General comes amid growing international concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as the region grapples with the aftermath of renewed hostilities.
