Prime Minister Calls for International Intervention Amid Escalating Violence in Gaza

Gaza City: Prime Minister Mohamed Mustafa has denounced the recent surge of violent assaults by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, urging the international community to take decisive action to halt these attacks. During a cabinet session, the Prime Minister highlighted the severe impact of the bombardments on civilians, especially those forced to seek refuge in makeshift tents amidst severe shortages of food and medicine.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Prime Minister stressed the urgency of the situation, stating that the international community must respond effectively to prevent further atrocities. He described the dire conditions faced by civilians, including the transportation of the dead and wounded using basic methods, as scenes of horror that demand immediate international intervention.

The Prime Minister criticized the ongoing aggression, asserting that the actions of the occupying forces aim to dismantle the infrastructure and undermine the foundation of life in Gaza’s cities. He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting its people despite the challenges posed by the occupation.

The recent wave of Israeli airstrikes marks the resumption of hostilities after a two-month lull. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 400 Palestinian civilians and left nearly 500 injured, including many women and children. Additionally, numerous individuals remain trapped under the debris of destroyed buildings and homes, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
