UK Denounces Rising Violence by Israeli Settlers in West Bank

Gaza: UK Minister of State for the Middle East Stephen Doughty condemned the escalating violence by Israeli colonists in the occupied West Bank, reaffirming the United Kingdom's strong opposition to attacks targeting Palestinian communities.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Doughty emphasized that protecting civilians, respecting international law, and ensuring accountability for those responsible for acts of violence are fundamental principles that must be upheld. He urged the Israeli government to take decisive action to protect Palestinians and to hold perpetrators of violence accountable, cautioning that impunity only serves to fuel further extremism.

The United Kingdom reiterated its clear opposition to the expansion of Israeli settlements, asserting that such policies undermine the prospects for a two-state solution and contribute to increased insecurity for both Palestinians and Israelis.
