Ramallah: Finance Minister Omar al-Bitar on Monday signed a pound 2-million memorandum of understanding with Spain's Consul General Jos© Blanco-Navarrete in support of the civil servants and pensioners' salaries.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the financial assistance is provided through the EU's PEGASE mechanism. The support will contribute to the payments of the salaries and pensions of civil servants, aligning with Madrid's commitment to support the State of Palestine's budget. This contribution aims to ensure the sustainability of basic services provided to Palestinian civilians.
