Several Palestinians Injured in Israeli Colonist Attack East of Ramallah

Ramallah: Several Palestinians sustained bruises and other injuries on Thursday evening after Israeli colonist militias, under the protection of Israeli forces, launched a large-scale attack on the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, targeting homes and vehicles while preventing ambulance crews from reaching the wounded.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency, around 150 Israeli colonists attacked the village from four different directions while closing its main entrance. The attackers assaulted a number of homes and vehicles and beat residents who attempted to confront the attack, leaving several people with bruises and other injuries.

The sources said the colonist militias surrounded several families, including women, children and elderly people, and attempted to assault them. They also tried to set fire to occupied homes, causing panic among residents. The attack caused extensive damage to homes and other property.

During the assault, Israeli forces prevented ambulances from entering the village to evacuate the injured to hospital for medical treatment.

Attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank have intensified in recent years, frequently involving assaults on residents, arson, vandalism and damage to agricultural land and property.
