Amman: President Mahmoud Abbas has received an invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia to participate in the extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Follow-Up Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Riyadh on November 11. The invitation was delivered during a meeting on Saturday evening at the President's residence in Amman, Jordan, by Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, the Saudi non-resident ambassador to Palestine and consul general in Jerusalem. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the meeting was also attended by the President's diplomatic advisor, Majdi Khaldi, and the Palestinian ambassador to Jordan, Attallah Khairi. The summit aims to address the crimes against the Palestinian people and the ongoing Israeli violations of holy sites in Palestine. The summit seeks to reinforce Arab and Islamic solidarity to stop Israeli aggression in Palestine and Lebanon. It also aims to advocate for a just resolution to the Palestinian issue, ensuring the rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
