Medical Sources Warn of Critical Shortages of Medicines and Supplies in Gaza

Gaza: Medical sources warned on Sunday of a dangerous deterioration in the availability of medicines and medical supplies in the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the healthcare crisis and threatening the lives of thousands of patients.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency, 250 kidney failure patients are at risk of losing access to dialysis sessions due to a shortage of Bibag solution. Treatment sessions for eight sick children may also stop because of the lack of necessary medical filters.

The sources also indicated that the absence of insulin injections is worsening the health conditions of around 11,000 diabetes patients. Additionally, 110 hemophilia patients are suffering severely due to shortages of VACTOR treatment in the region.
