Salfit: Colonists cut down more than 40 olive trees east of Salfit city on Sunday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, a number of settlers from the pastoral outpost in the Wadi al-Sha'er area, situated between Salfit city and the town of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, were responsible for cutting down more than 40 olive trees. These trees belonged to Nash'at Shtayyeh and were located near the al-Zaytouna University.
Shtayyeh stated that he is present on his land daily despite facing repeated harassment from colonists, which includes threats involving weapons and incidents of stone-throwing. He emphasized that the olive trees, which were planted decades ago, are his sole source of income. The attack not only caused him significant financial losses but also inflicted damage on his farmland.
