Israeli Knesset Proposes Law to Limit Palestinian Authority Activities in East Jerusalem.

Jerusalem: Israeli Knesset submits draft law to restrict activities of Palestinian Authority, PLO and Fatah movement. Member of the Israeli Knesset and Chairman of the Jewish Power party, Yitzhak Kreuzer, has introduced a draft law aimed at restricting the activities of the Palestinian National Authority, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and the Fatah movement in East Jerusalem and its surrounding towns and refugee camps. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the proposed legislation grants the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, the power to issue orders to close and ban any headquarters or activities related to these organizations. Additionally, the law would allow for the deportation of individuals who initiate such activities outside the designated areas. This development follows the resumption of the Knesset's winter session on October 27, 2024, during which a series of laws described as having a racist colonial character have been passed.
