Nablus: Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening rammed an army vehicle into a Palestinian in Sabastia town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local source.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mohammad Azzam, mayor of Sabastia, stated that during a raid into the town, occupying forces drove a vehicle into a 19-year-old Palestinian. The incident caused bruises across the young man's body and necessitated his hospitalization. Additionally, the mayor reported that gun-toting soldiers detained a Palestinian from the town.
The occupation forces conduct frequent raids on Palestinian homes almost daily across the West Bank. These operations are carried out under the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, often leading to clashes with local residents. The raids are executed without the need for a search warrant, reflecting the military's sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders possess full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank. Palestinians do not have any influence over how this authority is implemented.
