Ein Yabrud:Israeli forces have continued to close the iron gate at the eastern entrance to Ein Yabrud, a town east of Ramallah, for the second straight day. Additionally, the entrance to the nearby village of al-Mughayyir was shut early Sunday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA – English, the closure at Ein Yabrud's eastern entrance has been in effect since Saturday, resulting in significant traffic congestion and affecting the movement of Palestinians traveling to and from Ramallah.
Since early Sunday morning, Israeli forces also closed the western entrance to al-Mughayyir, which is the only remaining access point to the village, and reportedly fired tear gas canisters at vehicles passing by. The eastern entrance to al-Mughayyir has been closed for four years.
Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicates that there are 942 checkpoints, closure points, and other obstacles across the occupied West Bank. This includes 824 fixed checkpoints and closure points, along with 118 earth mounds, trenches, and roadblocks.
