Israeli Forces Launch Extensive Detention Campaign in West Bank

Ramallah: Israeli forces conducted a wide-scale detention and field interrogation campaign from Wednesday evening until Thursday morning, detaining over 50 Palestinians in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) reported that most of those detained are former prisoners, including one former female detainee.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the detentions and field interrogations were concentrated primarily in the Ramallah governorate, with additional reports from Hebron, Tubas, Tulkarm, Nablus, Jenin, and Jerusalem. These detentions were accompanied by massive raids, harassment of detainees along with their families, and widespread vandalism and destruction of Palestinian properties.

The PPS emphasized that Israeli troops employed systematic field interrogation policies targeting multiple families across various governorates. In 2025, more than 7,000 Palestinians were detained across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, alongside thousands subjected to field investigations.

Furthermore, approximately 21,000 detentions have been recorded since the start of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war, excluding thousands of detentions in the Gaza Strip.
