Israeli Forces Intensify Military Operation in Tulkarm for Third Consecutive Day

Tulkarm: For the third consecutive day, Israeli forces have continued a wide-scale military operation in the city and camp of Tulkarm, leading to extensive destruction of infrastructure and citizens' properties. A young man was shot in the head by snipers in the Hanoun Square neighborhood of Tulkarm camp, with citizens urgently calling for medical assistance as ambulances are being prevented from entering the camp.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli forces have increased their presence, deploying more vehicles and continuing to use bulldozers to destroy infrastructure, impacting water, electricity, sewage, and internet networks, as well as public and private properties. Local residents have been cut off without basic utilities, and calls for assistance have been made, especially for vulnerable groups like the sick, children, and the elderly.

The occupation forces have also compelled residents of the Shuhada neighborhood to evacuate, joining others who were forced to leave since the beginning of the offensive. Faisal Salama, head of the Popular Committee for Services in Tulkarm Camp, reported that over 1,000 refugees have been forcibly displaced from the camp.

The situation in Tulkarm city remains dire, with Israeli forces maintaining a siege around key hospitals, hindering the movement of ambulances and medical personnel. Military presence is heavy across various neighborhoods, with frequent vehicle searches and interrogation of citizens.

In a recent development, Israeli forces have raided homes in the western neighborhood, turning some into military positions and subjecting residents to identity checks and questioning. The Tulkarm Municipality is attempting to repair vital water lines damaged by the military action.

The violence has resulted in fatalities, including the death of Ayman Al-Naji in the Artah suburb, raising the death toll in Tulkarm to three in recent days. Additionally, the home of slain Palestinian Tamer Fuqaha was demolished by Israeli bulldozers earlier today.
