Israeli Forces Displace Over 80 Families from Al-Ein Refugee Camp

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces have displaced over 80 families from their houses in the Al-Ein refugee camp near the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to an official.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Ibrahim Shattawi, deputy head of the Al-Ein Camp Services Committee, stated that the occupation forces have expelled over 80 families from their homes during the ongoing aggression on the refugee camp.

Shattawi explained that the forces were storming houses in the camp, conducting searches, checking civilians’ IDs, and forcing them to leave at gunpoint before turning the houses into military barracks. In addition to these actions, the soldiers detained a number of Palestinians from the camp.

Shattawi further noted that an unidentified number of displaced persons sought refuge with relatives in neighborhoods within the city and others in mosques. This displacement occurred as the occupation forces continued to conduct a three-day aggression and tightened their grip on the area.
