Gaza: Israeli occupation forces on Thursday filled in three artesian water wells and demolished livestock shelters in the Bedouin community of Khirbet al-Ras al-Ahmar, southeast of Tubas in the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Muataz Basharat, who monitors the Jordan Valley affairs in Tubas Governorate, reported that Israeli forces filled in three artesian wells and destroyed their equipment. The wells were owned by Palestinian citizens Yousef Aqteishat, Mowaffaq Daraghmeh, and Thaer Khizran.
The forces also damaged and destroyed approximately 300 meters of a water transmission pipeline, further disrupting access to water in the community.
In addition to the destruction of the water infrastructure, Israeli forces demolished three livestock shelters belonging to Palestinian citizen Mohammad Abu Awwad and his son. These shelters covered a combined area of more than 300 square meters.
The demolitions and destruction of water infrastructure add to the longstanding pressure on Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley, where restrictions on access to land and water, demolitions, and Israeli colonist attacks have repeatedly threatened agricultural livelihoods in the region.
