Jericho: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday demolished a Palestinian-owned residential structure near al-Jiftlik village, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to a human rights activist. Aref Daraghmeh reported that the occupation forces escorted a bulldozer to the al-Makhruq locality, north of the village, where the heavy machinery tore down a 120-square-meter structure belonging to Issam Suleiman. This demolition occurred 20 days after Suleiman was issued a demolition order. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the demolition of the residential structure is part of ongoing tensions in the region. The actions of the Israeli forces have been met with criticism from local activists and international observers, who continue to express concerns over the impact of such demolitions on Palestinian communities in the occupied territories. The incident highlights the ongoing conflict and the challenges faced by residents in areas under Israeli control.
