Local sources reported that a number of colonists assaulted the two residents during their work in the agricultural area and threatened to kill them. No injuries were immediately reported. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident has raised concerns over the safety of Palestinian farmers who work in areas prone to such attacks. The attack occurred while the farmers were tending to their crops, a routine activity that has increasingly become dangerous due to escalating tensions in the region.
