Nablus:Israeli colonists reportedly assaulted several young men in Beitua town, located south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, on Friday.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency, local sources indicated that the colonists entered the al-Arma area of the town, where they intercepted a Palestinian-licensed vehicle carrying the young men and subsequently assaulted them.
Violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank, with incidents rarely leading to prosecution by Israeli authorities. Such acts of violence often include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.
There are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists residing in colonies across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
