Nablus: Israeli bulldozers closed several secondary roads around the village of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. Local sources reported that the closure took place on Friday, impacting routes that residents had previously established as alternatives to the main entrance, which has been inaccessible for several months due to Israeli forces.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the bulldozers conducted earthworks on lands owned by the village, effectively sealing off these alternative paths. Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, situated on the main Nablus-Ramallah road, has experienced numerous closures and restrictions enforced by Israeli occupation forces. These actions disrupt the daily movement of thousands of Palestinians in the region.
The closure of roads is part of a broader strategy involving roadblocks and movement restrictions throughout the occupied West Bank. Rights groups have consistently criticized these measures, categorizing them as collective punishment against the civilian population.
