Israeli Authorities Ban Jerusalem Resident from Al-Aqsa Mosque for Five Months

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation authorities issued an order on Saturday banning a Palestinian resident of Jerusalem from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for five months. Local sources reported that the order affects Fadl Abu Sneineh, prohibiting him from accessing the mosque until December 31, 2026.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Abu Sneineh was detained on Friday near Bab Hutta, one of the gates leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, before the weekly Friday prayers. Israeli authorities have frequently issued orders barring Palestinians from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for varying periods. These measures have been accompanied by detentions and restrictions on access to the site.
